The 3 week Loose Lead Walking class is designed for dogs aged 16 weeks and up.  We have no upper age limit.  Each class is limited to the number of dogs and will run for approximately 1 hour each week.

A prerequisite of this class is completion of either All Pets Education & Training Puppy School or K9 Manners, or entry via individual assessment.

This class will focus on Loose Lead Walking - this is often the hardest task to master, yet one of the most common tasks we require of our dogs.  No one really likes going for a walk, when your dog just pulls you at great speed from tree to tree, post to post, and dog to dog.

The class will incorporate other basic skills that your dog and you are required to know prior to attendance.

These will include the use of a marker (I recommend a clicker or whistle), eye contact, sit, down/drop and settle.

The class will be conducted in varying locations depending on the dogs, weather and ability of all involved.
The locations will generally be local Brisbane City Council Parks.

It is not expected that you will cover a great distance in any of the classes. As Loose Lead Walking is our focus behaviour, it is vitally important that the dogs do not move forward if they are pulling.

We will also allow for breaks during the class for both dogs and owners to have a drink, and rest.  Loose Lead Walking takes a lot of concentration (from both dog and person) to master and you will all be in need of the settle breaks.

However, once you have mastered this skill, you and your dog will enjoy your walks together and have a future full of fun adventures.
