Virtual Puppy Pre-Primary School

Can't make it to class?  Join an online class with other puppies.

Next Starting Date: To be confirmed - early 2022

Next Starting Date: Course will run when have 3 or more interested parties.

Can't make it to puppy preschool?

Want to benefit from a virtual school? Where I can see you and your puppies, and you can interact with other students?

This course is 6 weeks long.  The first week is an online orientation. Familarising yourself with the learning platform, learning some very cool stuff and starting some basic behaviours.

The following weeks will consist of learning at least 2 new behaviours, 1 socialisation challenge and discussions.

The course cost is $120 for the 6 weeks.

The program uses positive reinforcement training - using a marker such as a clicker and high value food rewards.

Each week you will receive an emailed summary including handouts and notes regarding any discussions we may have had.

During the course we cover canine socialisation and all your basic behaviours such as sit, drop, leave, look at me, rest comfortably on your mat etc.  I will also discuss and give you management programs or solutions to the problems most puppy owners face, including toilet training, jumping,  mouthing and chewing.

As this is a virtual course, your puppy won't be playing with other dogs, however I will teach you what to look for and how to manage play to ensure your puppy has the best experience.

Each week there will be a new socialisation challenge for you to complete.

You will also learn a lot about
canine body language – this will help you understand your puppy and what is good and what is bad for him/her. This will help you as your puppy's guardian to take measures to help and protect them in future.

The course has a maximum of 5 puppies - even though it is a virtual class, I want to ensure that each person and puppy team has the time devoted to them that they need.

What will you need?
  • A puppy :)
  • Internet access
  • A platform that you can use to view the class and also allows video for me to see you - I'd recommend a tablet, iPad or computer.
  • A marker (we'll go over that the first week)
  • Bed/Mat for your puppy
  • Collar
  • Safe space, or leash
  • Long lasting chews/stuffed enrichment toy
  • Props such as sporting cones, bell, wooden spoon, umbrella, skateboard, funny hats, phone to use other apps, brush/comb, nail clippers etc.
